Oh. Poor Lisa... Sad For some reason, I don't have any problems yet... I really enjoyed the nice peaceful weather without any air planes in the air... I never experienced such a wonderful blue sky. Smile

Fingers crossed that you feel better!

*reviving this thread*
Weather: gray sky, drizzle now and then
Health: nose is better, only some pollen left in the air
Mood: bored/unnerved, who invented the income tax return anyway? So much paperwork to do, it's silly...

Smile

Weather: way too cold!
Health: tummy is playing up, my fault though, too many G&Ts yesterday..
Mood: Content, but bracing myself for busy times coming up. Am on one hand annoyed about the cabin crew strike, but on the other hand selfishly looking forward to some well-paid overtime.

Aww, that's great news, Bev. Thumbs up! Very Happy

Having a lazy day today, as I'm working tomorrow. Strike contingency overtime. This strike is a very bad thing for the company, but somehow I'm fascinated but it. The cabin crew union bullying its members into striking, yet claiming the company is the bully. The first strike was all about imposition of cost saving measures (the company had to impose as the unions did not cooperate), now it is more about the reinstatement of staff travel (which is a non-contractual benefit) and the reemployment of sacked cabin crew. The fired crew were given the boot because they did not show up for work in a non-strike period, or for severe bullying of colleagues or in another case for posting confidential data on Facebook. Ehm, Hello?!!!.. you want BA to employ those people again?!! Oh, I can't wait passing through those picket lines.. If the strike is going ahead after all. BA is seeking an injunction from the High Court on Monday, the first wave of the strike is starting this Tuesday. That will be interesting again.

OK, I'll shut up now. I'm such an anorak right now Razz

Hey there! Still alive, more or less. Trying to recover from a couple of days in Sao Paulo, with way too many caipirihnas and waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much beef. wink If the weather had been better, it would have been perfect.

@Dani: The whole BA strike thing really is fascinating. By the way, were you affected by the ash cloud? You are in crew control, aren't you? That must have been a hell of a week for you! I was stuck in Dubai for a week. Could have been worse. wink It was still nerve wracking not to know when we would be going back.

Does it start now? I also posted in the "Anouncement"thread as I don't know whether 19pm GMT means 20.00h in Germany.
I guess that bev will go online and then we'll see... she'll probably post in the forum before starting the conference.
