Hey everyone - I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still alive and keeping very busy, mostly with music. Hubby's still out of work (since November ) so it's been a little tough around here.
ANYWAY, to get back on track, I'd love to go on this year's CruiseTrek to Bermuda, but finances won't allow it. I did see on their site, however, that the day before the cruise departs, there's a "mini-con" in NYC with the cruisers plus additional guests Casey Biggs and JG Hertzler. I'm going to try to get to that one for sure. Holly Kim, you reading this? It would be great to see you again! Anyone else going to be in the NYC area on May 9th?

Thanks Marsha for this news about Casey - I must admit I missed this until Cindy confirmed it just now with her Update from Casey's forum.
Yes, Casey and Ron will be at the Bon Voyage Dinner in New York City on 9 May the night before the Cruise Treks leaves for Bermuda.
Details are on the cruise trek website now, where it says the evening will be include Dinner, Q&A, mix and mingle, and opera!
It is open to Cruisers past and present and others and sounds like a pretty good night! _________________ Dance like no-one is watching |

I guess I shouldn't assume, but I'd think Vaughn will be there (at the dinner/mini con) on Saturday night as well, since he's listed as being a guest on the cruise itself.

I wouldnt presume so Marsha - I guess it depends when the Cruise Trek team will fly the guys over to NYC. So we can only ask The Man himself...
Vaughn, have you been invited to this Saturday night bash? _________________ Dance like no-one is watching |

That will be a great party then! Will you Casey and Ron be performing on the night? _________________ Dance like no-one is watching |

Good question. I could be persuaded if they asked....which they haven't. But then I don't think much has been arranged yet for the envent itself. Kind of a work in progress. But Ron will be there, too....and Jace....who may play the bass with us on the ship....so something could happen. We'll see. By the way...in answer to the questions about Dillon....yes....I lost him just before Christmas. It was hard but we all knew it was coming soon. He was quite old. Great dog. I'll always remember him. But this new one is a cutie, too. I'm not sure I know how to do the photo thing....but I'll keep it on my to do list. Hope all is well with all of you!

Dillon was a brilliant dog and I feel for your loss too Vaughn as I had said. But you gave him the best in life and he's up there happily singing along to your tunes and thumping his big tail.
Now you can give as good a home to Cleo as well.
And it's great news Jace gets to come on the Cruise with you too! _________________ Dance like no-one is watching |

Yes... we knew it was going to happen soon. He was such a wonderful dog, the most empathic dog I knew. When he was looking at you it was like he could see right into your soul. What a wonderful companion he was. Was he put down so he didn't need to suffer? I'll miss him.
I hope Kitty likes Cleo just as much as you do? Did you get her from a shelter? _________________ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. |

Yes. He was put down. Yes..... He was a brilliant dog. Yes...Kitty likes Cleo as much as I do. They play all the time.....though Kitty is getting old as well. She sometimes seeks refuge from the fun. But she also goes looking for Cleo when she get's bored. And yes...I got her from the Carson shelter...which has the highest kill rate in California. Her eys are pretty smart, too.

This is incredible... and fun to imagine. So Cleo is keeping Kitty young, that's good! How old is Cleo then? _________________ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. |

Some pictures from last Saturday night's pre-cruise dinner in NYC. Enjoy. http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x58/classic0812/Cruisetrek%20dinner%20050909/
Some are a little fuzzy cause I guess I was a little fuzzy.
Had a great time talking to the actors and meeting a few new friends. I also got to sing my Stalker Medley so that was fun too. I hope next time I get to actually go on the cruise!
